About the work:

Family life on Dashcam follows the domestic life of my immediate family filmed on a dashcam. From traveling, experiencing loss, to the mundanity of grocery shopping and taking children to school, I wanted to explore the idea of surveillance of ordinary people.

 

Biography:

Ashanti McGee is an artist based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Much of her work explores adolescence, identity, and the west-particularly her hometown of Las Vegas.  She is also a mom of four.
